Giving Thanks (inspired by)

Thanks be to God, Father, Son and Spirit, for the abundance of good things he pours on His children.
We are but few, but His blessings are many.

back from Indy

We are back from Indy exhausted and still stressed but not without hope. Aggie's doctor gave us a good amount of time today- he listened to what was going on and discussed ways we can begin to be more aggressive with her treatment. He mentioned referring us to an epilepsy center even before we mentioned Mayo. He explained what they would do there (days of testing, etc- stuff we already knew). Based on the tests she's already had, it also seems likely that they will want us to try at least one of the remaining medicines- he called them the "big guns." So we are armed with another prescription and the reassurance that her doctor is willing to work with Mayo if/when this doesn't work. THIS medicine should start working soon (1-2 weeks) if it is going to work.

It was not exactly what we had hoped for (a quick fix!) but Josh and I are both comfortable with the way things transpired today. We will continue to lean on the Lord to face the challenges in front of us- one hour at a time.

I have a pile of unanswered emails and voice mails- sorry to those of you in my inbox... one of these days you will hear from me again, but for now I am going to bed! (after i get Eldon to stop crying that is!)
