Giving Thanks (inspired by)

Thanks be to God, Father, Son and Spirit, for the abundance of good things he pours on His children.
We are but few, but His blessings are many.

My birthday morning

My birthday morning.
(All fighting, temper losing, biting, injuries, threats, and time-outs have been deleted from this retelling of my morning. Because I feel like it.)

Three little boy bodies crawled in bed with me and snuggled until their daddy demanded we all get moving for school.

We went to town, and we made a scene everywhere we went. Yes, they are all mine, no, none are twins, and yes I have my hands full.

We parked on top of the parking garage just so they could gawk at the view and push the buttons on the elevator.

They climbed while I addressed Christmas invitations.
And I smiled about our breakfast conversation:
“I think I’ll take them to the commons so they can play while I sit and address.”
Lorraine looked at me, shocked, “You’re going to sit IN a DRESS?”

Before we left, we rode the escalator, twice, just for fun.

Peter got hiccups, and each one was HILARIOUS.

We mailed the invitations at the post office.
A job that could have taken 2 minutes took an awkward 20 minutes, complete with injuries and one rolling on the floor fit.

“Mommy, your big helper is getting really really hungry.”

We went to IHOP with a gift card- my little boys taking me out for a birthday pancake lunch.

I drank lots of coffee. And I intend to drink even more.

I traced their hand, and then mine over theirs, on the placemats.

An elderly lady in another booth kept smiling sweet smiles at our chaos. I felt her sympathy and nostalgia, and it reminded me to keep my eyes open during these fleeing moments with my little boys.

Marcus said his “forehead” hurt, but then a moment later it was better. “I think I just needed to quack.”

And then, they all napped.

Happy happy birthday to me!!!

My life is exhausting, but it is also hilarious, and full. I am blessed.

Thanksgiving day.

I am thankful for my camera, fully charged and usable again! Oh, camera how I have missed you!!!!

Cheese!!!

Missing family today, but grateful for Mary Anne and her family who welcomed us to their home.

I spend a good portion of my day wiping boogers.

And believe it or not, I even had to wipe THESE boogers:

Lorraine made the brownies. :) She did great!

A few more favorite pictures!

Pin the football between the goal posts!

My kids kept saying stuff like, "Hey, I got a home run!"

Then, we crashed.

Kids slept in the living room last night by the heater...
but the furnace is up and running again this morning!

Our house this week.

I am currently missing my camera battery charger, so all I have are some phone pictures this week.

Here are some of my favorites!
